Amid long-standing rumors and speculation of a falling out between Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift, the model had nothing but praise for the songstresses when recently asked about Swift’s impressive catalog of hits.
Kloss, 31, recently sat down for an interview with Yahoo Life, where she was asked about attending Swift’s Eras Tour when it stopped in Los Angeles last August and how she felt about Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which dropped in April.
When asked to name her favorite song on the album, Kloss said, “I’d say the whole album.”
“I mean, her music is classic,” Kloss added, still without getting into specifics about the songs off TTPD.
When asked in general to name really any of her favorite songs by Swift, Kloss replied, “She’s got so many hits. I definitely love ‘Shake It Off.'”
Kloss and Swift were famously besties back in 2014, when Swift released her album 1989, which features “Shake It Off.” Kloss was part of Swift’s famous squad — alongside Selena Gomez, Martha Hunt, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, Cara Delevingne and many others.
The supportive remarks come amid long-standing rumors that the former best friends had a falling out, however, neither party has confirmed them.
In 2018, Kloss briefly addressed the feud rumors in an interview with The New York Times, however, she brushed it off, simply saying, “Don’t believe everything you read.”
Kloss and Swift met in 2013 and became fast friends — the duo even appeared together on the cover of Vogue Magazine and did several other joint interviews together. From Swift’s famous Fourth of July parties to road trips and award shows, Kloss and Swift were seemingly inseparable.
However, in 2018, fans began to question if the two had a falling out when Swift did not attend Kloss’ wedding and did not congratulate her on social media. Swift was in Australia on tour at the time of the nuptials.
More recently, proponents of the feud theory pointed to the fact that when Kloss attended the Eras Tour show in August at SoFi stadium, she sat with other fans in the stands instead of the VIP section where many of Swift’s close friends are spotted during her shows.
However, an eyewitness told ET at the time, “[Karlie] initially was seated in the 200s sections, but at one point in the night, security took her to the VIP section. Fans were very surprised to see Karlie there. Karlie was recording some of Taylor’s performances on her phone and singing along to some songs. She looked like she was having a really good time.”
