Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are two of the biggest stars of the Tamil film industry. While they acted together in approximately 16 films, they chose to not share screen space after the Hindi movie Geraftaar (1985) alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
Kamal Haasan recently opened up on not been seen in the films with Rajinikanth. The actor also noted whether they would work together or share screen space in the near future. He said, “It’s not a new combination. We have done many films together. Then we decided not to work together. We are not like two competitors. We had the same mentor (Tamil filmmaker K Balachander). Unlike any other place, the competition is there, openly. But there’s no envy and it’s two different paths.”
He also added that they decided to never “make snide remarks about each other.” He rounded it up by adding, “We made this call when we were in our 20s; it’s not that we became older and wiser now.”
Recently, Haasan and Rajinikanth were seen candidly posing with each in their Indian 2 and Vettaiyan getups. The photo went viral on social media as they two movie legends were seen smiling ear to ear while posing.
