Kadesha Plege Honored As 2024 Educational Support Professional Of The Year

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners presented Kadesha Pleger with a proclamation in honor of her earning the 2024 Educational Support Professional of the Year Award for outstanding achievements and dedicated service to education.

Kadesha consistently goes above and beyond her duties, providing invaluable support to students, teachers, and administrative staff. With her positive attitude, willingness to help, and ability to build strong relationships with the school community, she ensures a positive and productive learning environment.

As a SkillsUSA advisor and alumni, Kadesha has worked with adolescents and mental health for seven and a half years. For the last two years, she has been the alternative education assistant for county Alternative Education, where she has been instrumental in mental health mentorship, advocacy, education planning and lifestyle skill training. She also actively partners with community programs and the Center of Law and Social Policy (CLASP) to advocate for youth and young adults.
