LOTHIAN, Md. — On July 4, 2024, at 9:11 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a crash involving a motorcycle on northbound Route 4 near Talbot Road. Crews arrived to find a Dodge Charger and a Yamaha motorcycle involved in the collision.

The driver of the Yamaha motorcycle, Noah Allen Lee, 23, of Dunkirk, Md., was pronounced deceased at the scene by Fire Department personnel. The driver and passenger of the Dodge, Ronald Avery Weeks, Sr., 73, and Sharon Smith Weeks, 57, both of Upper Marlboro, Md., were evaluated by EMS on the scene and transported to CalvertHealth Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

The investigation revealed that a 2015 Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Route 4 when the driver pulled off and proceeded to make a left-handed U-turn to southbound Route 4. At that time, a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle was also traveling northbound on Route 4. As the Dodge Charger made its U-turn, it pulled into the path of the Yamaha motorcycle, which was unable to avoid striking the Dodge Charger.
