Join The Pet Parenting Class In Prince George's County To Learn About Responsible Pet Ownership

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – Aspiring dog and cat parents can attend a free 1-hour class to learn about the responsibilities and financial cost of adopting a furry friend. Large pets are a big responsibility, so this presentation will help shed light on some of the biggest challenges you’ll face in your animal journey.

Pet ownership classes will be meeting on the first Saturday of every month at 12:00 pm for the remainder of 2024, starting with September 7th. The Animal Services Facility & Adoption Center is hosting these classes, which you’ll find at 3750 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20772.

The classes will cover a variety of topics. The primary subjects that the class is covering are healthy pet foods, toys, time investment, medical needs, and the financial cost of owning a pet. Social and safety aspects of pet ownership are also on the agenda.

Additionally, there will be a Q&A at the end of each class so that the hosts can answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to get your pet ownership questions answered by a professional.

You can register for this free class by calling 301-780-7200 and selecting Option 6. Walk-ins for the pet ownership class are also welcomed.
