Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! completes 30 years since its release today. The evergreen classic featured a celebration of Indian wedding traditions, memorable dialogues, timeless music, and record-breaking box office success.
Remarkably, the film won two National Awards: one for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and another for Best Choreography.
The makers of the film released a throwback video of the film with the caption, “As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Hum Aapke Hain Koun, let’s revisit the full movie summed up in 1 min that redefined love and sacrifice.”
The film featured some iconic songs including, Didi Tera Devar Deewana and more. Salman Khan’s portrayal of Prem was both charming and alluring. His natural ease and on-screen chemistry with Madhuri Dixit, and ability to balance light-hearted and emotional moments showcased his acting range and contributed to the film’s lasting appeal.
The film became the highest-grossing Indian film at the time of its release becoming the first Indian film to gross over â¹100 crore in India starring Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Mohnish Behl and Renuka Shahane in pivotal roles.
