“They grew together as a unit and together purchased their dream home in Newport Beach, Calif., where Christina has continued to reside since their separation,” the insider continued. “Josh’s priority was always Christina. He loved her dearly, and he’s very sad this is how things ended.”
E! News has reached out to Christina’s rep for comment and has not heard back.
As for Christina, she spoke out about the break up on social media and in court documents, where she accused Josh, in a filing obtained by E! News, of making an unauthorized transfer of over $35,000 to his own bank account one day after she says they separated.
“I have worked my a– off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories July 25. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you- but ‘still i rise.'”
She added, “Divorces do not happen overnight,” she wrote, “& there is always a breaking point. This one is personal.”
