LA PLATA, Md. — A severe head-on collision on Industrial Parkway near Mr. Tire left two people injured early Monday morning, with one victim airlifted to a trauma center in critical condition.
The crash occurred around 7:22 a.m. on October 14, 2024, prompting a quick response from emergency services. EMS personnel at the scene evaluated two occupants, determining that one required immediate air transport.
Firefighters established a landing zone for Maryland State Police Aviation Command’s Trooper 2 helicopter. The critically injured adult male patient was flown to UM Capitol Region Trauma Center, while the second adult male victim was transported by ground to UM Charles Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
