Harry Eugene Yaukey, Jr. “Gene” joined his Father, Mother, and passed brothers on October 1, 2024, in heaven.
Gene was born on July 9, 1961, to Harry E. Yaukey, Sr., and Julia Malloy. Gene was raised by his father and his bonus mother, Phyllis.
Gene graduated from La Plata High School in 1980. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps. At the time of his death, Gene was part of the Beltway Paving Company for 12 years.
It was not until later in life that Gene found the love of his life with Kristy her children Hunter and Macee and the Conover family. He was also blessed to have JR who was his son through brotherhood. He found his way and was proud to have found God. His life was one very few could live, and he lived life on the edge. Motorcycles have always been Gene’s passion. Being a true biker, two wheels took Gene anywhere he needed to go. He survived by God’s Grace and Mercy.
Gene was a brother to John Charles, Mary (her children Christina, Laurie, and John) and Myra. He was more than an Uncle to Myra’s children- he was their Hero. Kayla Faith (Larry, Aiden, Aspen) Justis (Juliana, Nikolai, Gianni, and Laila’s), and MyLee Rose. Gene often stepped in to care for Kayla, Justis, and My’Lee when their father was ill. Recently he cared for his niece MyLee Rose after she lost her father. (Gene’s lifelong brother and friend).
He held his family very close to his heart and had a strong sense of purpose.
If you knew Gene, you knew what he stood for. He did not waiver in his beliefs. He had a heart larger than you could imagine and for those he loved, he would lay his life on the line in a minute. He had a strong demeanor yet was gentle and caring to those he loved.
You will never meet a man like Gene, because he was a rare soul. He now rides the golden roads of heaven with all the brothers who have passed before him.
On Monday, October 7, 2024, the family will receive friends for the visitation from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the service beginning at 6:00 pm officiated by Pastor Wilson Morales at Encounter Christian Center, 30080 Henry Ln, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will be private.
