Google is preparing to launch at least four Pixel 9 phones, and today, we received a confirmation of the names of the two new flagships.
One of them will be called Pixel 9 Pro XL, while the other will be Pixel 9 Pro Fold, according to Canada’s Radio Equipment List (REL) – an extensive publication of all radio equipment certified for use in the North American country.
Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pro Fold on REL
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to be the successor of the Pixel 8 Pro – the largest member of the existing lineup. The last time we had an XL phone was in 2019 when the Pixel 4 XL was around.
We expect something similar to happen now – the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be a bigger version of the Pixel 9 Pro, which will be a new addition to the lineup.
The other phone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, is simply the successor of the Pixel Fold; it is now just being renamed to align with the rest of the family.
