Google brings split-screen Gemini to more Galaxy and Pixel foldables and tablets

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold6 with One UI 6.1.1, and the interface allowed Gemini to operate in a split-screen mode. At the time, it was the only phone and UI that offered this feature of the AI assistant, but Google finally decided to expand the service to other large-screen Android devices.

Multiple sources revealed the feature is available on Galaxy Tab tablets, older Galaxy Z Fold foldables, Google Pixel Tablets and Fold devices. It is essentially an option allowing the app to operate in a floating window, provided the interface has that feature.

Tablets and foldables are getting Gemini in a floating window with a handlebar to move it around the screen. Users can ask Gemini about the screen in the background, but another major function of the AI is researching a topic in a video/text that is in another part of the screen.
