SEVERN, Md. – On September 15, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 8000 block of Marlton Court in Severn.
Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting person, who located the victim in a wooded area at the end of Marlton Court. The victim, 40-year-old Anthony Lee Brown of Glen Burnie, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim’s remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence.
