SOLOMON’S ISLAND, Md. – Wednesday night, July 10, the cover band Funkzilla performed at The Pier Restaurant in Solomons – much to diners and bar flies’ delight. They’re known for their funky beats and mellow personalities. Matt Garrett And Russell Williams jammed out with the gorgeous vista of the Chesapeake Bay behind them.
People flocked to shake hands and get fan appreciation in. The coolest cats in the town that night, they kept the tempo up and everyone in good spirits as they enjoyed their dinners. You can’t beat the live music in Southern Maryland!
When asked for a quote to their fans, Rusty had to say, “We love Southern Maryland!” Matt went on to add, “Thank you to all the fans for their support over the years.”
Fun story, Matt and I used to run with the same crowd in high school. Isn’t that how it goes in small towns? We shared stories from back in the day during the band’s break and it was a blast from the past to catch up.
After they finished their set, they thanked the crowd once more as the restaurants exploded with applause. Reggae and rock are the sweetest summer treats!
