WALDORF, Md. – As Hurricane Helene continues to devastate long after its long and painful path of destruction, Charles County Volunteer Fire and Emergency Medical Services made their way to NC to provide much needed help and support to those affected.
Their Facebook posts read, “On Thursday, October 10th, members of the Fire/EMS gathered to load a donated tractor-trailer to transport much needed water, hand sanitizer, and charcoal to the community in Morganton, North Carolina. We thank everyone who assisted with the project and photos of the arrival are forthcoming.”
“Saturday morning, the tractor-trailer arrived at the Willow Tree AME Church in Morganton, North Carolina. We thank Kelly Crouse from Backyard Trucking for his time and commitment providing his truck and manpower in North Carolina. A big shout out to our general public who gave so generously donating supplies at our Fire/EMS stations throughout our county. We hope these donations will help out this wonderful community in some small way.”
