Fire Erupts In Brandywine Barn Extending To Home; Investigation Underway

BRANDYWINE, Md. — On July 28, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the 13500 block of Crain Highway in Brandywine following reports of a structure fire.

Firefighters from the Prince George’s County Fire Department arrived at the scene to find a barn engulfed in flames, with the fire extending to an adjacent one-story home. The firefighting team quickly began efforts to extinguish the blaze.

To facilitate the water supply operation, northbound Crain Highway, from the scene to Williams Drive, was temporarily shut down.

Fire investigators are currently on the scene. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and an investigation is ongoing. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported at this time.
