Experience the Magic of a Las Vegas Christmas • This Week in Gambling

Ready to spread holiday cheer visiting Nevada for a Las Vegas Christmas? From ice skating rinks and dazzling light shows to holiday-themed shows and Christmas cocktails, we explore some of the best ways to experience the magic of a Sin City Christmas in 2024.

If you’re headed to Sin City at or around Christmas time you may be wondering about all the festive things you can do around town. That’s where we come in! We can tell you all about it, and the best part is it’s totally free of charge! So off we go with a Las Vegas Christmas for 2024, and we begin with the Winter Wonderland at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, as the Oasis pool turns into the Oasis ice rink, with skating and fire pits, plus wreath making and holiday sweet treat events! If skating is your thing then the ice rink at Cosmopolitan is a must see! With 4,200 Square ft of ice, actual snowfall,  holiday movies, and roasting s’mores over a fire! Next, wear your ugliest Christmas sweater to the free Holiday Parade in downtown Summerlin, every Friday and Saturday evening, with snow, festive floats, holiday characters ,and of course Santa! And what would Christmas be without the Bellagio Conservatory? A winter wonderland inspired by the beloved Night Before Christmas poem, and the peppermint Express cart that serves popcorn and hot chocolate!

When you’re done skating, strolling, and watching parades remember that Las Vegas is known for its lights! And some of the biggest and best Christmas displays in the country are right here in Sin City, starting with the Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway! Guest board an open air tram and drive through 5 million twinkling lights that illuminate over 2 and 1/2 miles! Not to be outdone, Enchant at the Las Vegas Ballpark boasts 880,000 square feet of holiday light sculptures! There’s also an ice skate trail, children’s play area, scavenger hunt, and a larger than life maze. Then there’s the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village, a great way to spend a Las Vegas Christmas! With festive display of lights, rides, food, vendors, shopping, and even a beer garden for Santa’s grown-up helpers! Next, the entire family will love Candy Rush at the M Resort, the largest animated drive-through Christmas light show in the world, with a mile of sparkling lights all set to holiday music!

However, if you want to get off the beaten path, try the Holiday Cactus Garden at Ethel M Chocolates! A working chocolate factory with a dazzling display of over 1 million twinkling lights! And what’s a trip to Sin City without visiting Fremont Street? See the huge Christmas tree and take in a Christmas light show like no other on their huge Viva Vision canopy!  Next, we move on to Christmas shows in Las Vegas, which takes us to the Nutcracker performed by the Nevada Ballet Theatre with shows through December 27th! A Christmas Carol the Musical, playing now through December 22nd! And Terry Fator’s A Very Terry Christmas, running now through December 24th! What could possibly make Las Vegas Christmas merrier?

And finally this week, it is not required that you drink while you’re in Vegas for the Christmas break… but hey why take the chance? And you can find some of the best holiday themed drinks anywhere when you visit the Minus5 Ice Bar located at the LINQ, with custom carved ice seats and drinking glasses, along with rooms that house amazing ice sculptures! There’s also an LED light show and a unique cocktail menu. If you find yourself on Fremont Street you could also try the Sippin’ Santa at the Sand Dollar Downtown, located at the Plaza! Try their merry crafted cocktails if you really want to light up your holiday fun! And then there’s the Bad Elf popup bar at Silverton Casino, where guests are transported to the North Pole with reindeer, snow covered trees, and Santa himself! Now that’s how you spend a Las Vegas Christmas! With themed cocktails served beside a cozy fireplace! Happy Holidays!
