The Race movies have been one of the most successful film franchises in Hindi films. It’s been 6 years since the last instalment in the franchise released and fans have been anxiously waiting for the next entry. That time has come as Filmfare has learnt that the next film in the Race franchise will be directed by Nikkhil Advani.
This will be the fourth film in the franchise, but there’s no confirmation yet if the movie will be called Race 4 or if Advani will opt for another creative title. What has been confirmed is that Saif Ali Khan, who starred in the first two films, will return to the franchise as the lead star. The makers are looking for a younger actor to feature with Saif in the film. Rest of the cast options are being worked out as well.
The first film in the Race franchise came out in 2008 and it featured Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy along with Saif. The second film came out in 2013 and it saw John Abraham team up with Saif, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez. The third film in the franchise featured Salman Khan in the lead with Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor making up the rest of the ensemble.
It’s going to be exciting to see who Nikkhil Advani casts with Saif Ali Khan in the fourth film. One thing’s for sure, this one is going to be an action-packed extravaganza for sure. Stay tuned for more.
