DUNKIRK, Md. – Jordan Daniel Green, 27, of Bowie, MD, has been charged with multiple offenses following a high-speed chase and violent encounter with law enforcement on June 11, 2024. The incident began when Green and his accomplices stole items from Harris Teeter in Dunkirk, MD.
According to official court documents, Deputy Idol reportedly observed Green and his accomplices fleeing the store and entering a white Nissan SUV with Georgia plates. The vehicle was seen traveling south on Maryland Route 4, prompting Deputy Idol to call 911. The suspects were pursued by law enforcement officers, including Sgt. Rector.
The chase escalated when Sgt. Rector strategically positioned his vehicle on a dead-end road to intercept the suspects. According to the documents, the suspect vehicle, driven by Green, narrowly missed colliding with Sgt. Rector’s vehicle. Despite efforts to stop the vehicle, Green continued to flee, leading officers on a dangerous high-speed chase.
During the pursuit, a trooper was struck by the fleeing vehicle, resulting in severe head trauma and several other bodily injuries. The injured trooper was flown to the University of Maryland Baltimore Shock Trauma for treatment.
The pursuit concluded when the suspect vehicle was stopped using a PIT maneuver performed by Detective Wyatt McDowell, successfully ending the chase. Green and his accomplices, Malik Demencio Lewis, Shadeed Gregory Graham, and Donniesha Montinique Briscoe, were apprehended. According to the docs, Briscoe reportedly claimed she was asleep during the chase but admitted to a prior arrest for a similar incident.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers recovered various stolen items, including approximately $2,169 worth of merchandise from Harris Teeter, along with a bottle of Promethazine. Surveillance footage confirmed the involvement of Graham and Lewis in the theft, as documented in the official statements.
Green faces charges including attempted murder, assault on law enforcement, and multiple traffic violations. He remains in custody as the case proceeds through the judicial system, according to the latest court filings and official statements.
