NANJEMOY, Md. – Tehran Lebrons Butler, 18, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder following a shooting incident at a residence on Jessie Lizzy Place in Nanjemoy, Maryland.
According to court documents, officers responded to a call at approximately 1:30 a.m. on May 27, 2024. The victim, Labron Butler, reported that he was asleep when he heard knocking on his door. Upon answering, he was shot in the face by his son, Tehran Butler. Labron Butler managed to close and lock the door before calling the police.
Labron Butler was transported to Capitol Regional Hospital, where he was treated for a puncture wound near his eye. Tehran Butler reportedly fled the scene before the police arrived. Investigators quickly identified Tehran as the suspect through records from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
An arrest warrant was issued, and Tehran Butler was apprehended without incident. He faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and firearm use in the commission of a felony crime. He is currently being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center.
An initial hearing is set to take place on July 19, 2024.
