LUSBY, Md. – On the evening of July 1, 2024, Deputy Parrott responded to a call about a motor vehicle accident and a potentially impaired driver near Langley Lane and Solomons Island Road. According to court documents, Wade Faron Robinson Robinite was identified through his Maryland Driver’s License at the scene.
Observations indicated that Robinson Robinite exhibited signs of impairment, including glassy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his person. These signs, noted in the incident report, raised immediate concerns about his ability to operate a vehicle safely.
Robinson Robinite became verbally aggressive and uncooperative with law enforcement officers, swearing at them and refusing to answer questions regarding the incident. He claimed he had not driven his vehicle and was merely walking down the street. However, his white Toyota Corolla was found parked a short distance away with front passenger side damage and a flat front passenger-side tire, suggesting recent driving activity, as detailed in the police records.
Witnesses reported that Robinson Robinite was seen driving the damaged vehicle and stumbling when exiting it. Despite repeated requests by the officers to remain calm and comply, Robinson Robinite continued his disruptive behavior, yelling and accusing the officers of harassment.
He was eventually arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center. During transport, Robinson Robinite threatened the officers and continued to exhibit aggressive behavior, all of which is recorded in the arrest report.
Robinson Robinite faced multiple charges as a result of his actions, according to court records. These included disorderly conduct, intoxicated endangerment, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, reckless driving, negligent driving, failure to control vehicle speed on the highway to avoid collision, and failure to surrender a recovered original license after a duplicate was issued.
These charges, as indicated in the court documents, stemmed from his actions, which included driving while intoxicated, causing property damage, and creating a public disturbance.
