Details Released: Armed Robbery And Assault In Charles County

Ryle Michael Mili

WALDORF, Md. – On May 10, 2024, a pre-prom event in Charles County turned into a crime scene when Ryle Michael Mili, aged 24, and an accomplice allegedly assaulted and robbed a young man. Mili is now facing multiple charges, including assault in the first degree, armed robbery, and theft.

The incident occurred at a residence on Finsbury Alley in Waldorf during a pre-prom sendoff party. The victim, a friend of the host, attended the party with a photographer. As guests were dispersing, the victim and the photographer were approached by two suspects dressed in dark clothing and wearing ski masks.

The suspects brandished firearms and demanded valuables. The victim reported that he was forced out of his vehicle at gunpoint and robbed of his Cartier watch, valued at $18,000.

The victim initially identified the suspects based on their clothing and later through facial recognition technology. Investigations revealed that Mili and the other suspect had been seen at the party earlier that evening. A detailed analysis of video footage and personal identification markers, such as tattoos, further corroborated the victim’s account.

An arrest warrant for Mili, issued on June 25, 2024, outlines a series of charges: assault in the first degree, armed robbery, assault in the second degree, theft, and firearm use in the commission of a felony. According to the warrant, Mili was positively identified by the victim through photographic evidence and prior interactions.

Mili, who has a history of criminal activities, including a prior felony conviction, was tracked down by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest was made at his residence in Waldorf, following a thorough investigation led by Detective R.S. Logsdon.

The court documents detail that Mili’s involvement was confirmed through a combination of personal identification by the victim, matching tattoos, and corroborating evidence from law enforcement databases. The case highlights ongoing issues of violence and theft in social settings, underscoring the need for heightened security and vigilance.

Mili is currently held without bail, awaiting trial. The charges against him reflect the severity of his actions and the potential impact on the community’s sense of safety. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate, ensuring that all involved parties are brought to justice.
