Caught ‘At it’ Again: Lusby’s Repeat Offender Arrested For Public Pleasures

Mark Johan Bysheim,

LUSBY, Md.
– Mark Johan Bysheim, a 65-year-old transient, was arrested multiple times within a four-day span in Calvert County, Maryland, for a series of indecent exposure and trespassing incidents, raising concerns among residents.

The first arrest occurred on September 9, 2024, when law enforcement responded to a call from a woman at the Exxon in Lusby. She reported seeing Bysheim masturbating by the dumpster. When police arrived, they found Bysheim attempting to flee the scene on his bicycle. Upon being confronted, Bysheim admitted to the act, telling officers, “You’re right, I did do that.” Although he never fully exposed himself, the witness confirmed that Bysheim was visibly engaged in the act inside his pants. Bysheim was arrested for indecent exposure and permanently trespassed from the Exxon.

Just two days later, on September 11, police again encountered Bysheim, this time loitering outside the Southern Branch of the Calvert Library, located in the Patuxent Plaza. Witnesses stated that he was harassing customers outside the 7-Eleven and creating a public disturbance. Authorities reported Bysheim as having cached the parking lot with garbage and money. Despite multiple warnings to vacate the premises, he ignored the commands and continued his erratic behavior, leading to his arrest for trespassing.

In the final incident on September 13, 2024, a 911 call from another woman led to Bysheim’s third arrest within the same week. She witnessed him masturbating near the roundabout on Southern Connector Boulevard in Lusby. She described Bysheim standing in plain sight by the road, rubbing his genitals through his pants as cars drove by. When officers arrived, Bysheim initially denied the accusation, but eventually admitted, “Alright, I did do it.” Given his history of similar offenses, he was again arrested for indecent exposure.

With these repeated offenses and his refusal to heed previous warnings, Bysheim faces multiple charges and remains in custody as Calvert County authorities work to address the escalating public nuisance he poses. All incidents occurred in Calvert County and were documented on police body cameras.
