The cause of a wildfire remains under investigation after a brush fire broke out during Saturday night’s fireworks show near Arizona’s BlueWater Resort and Casino.
It appears the fire began after sparks from the fireworks display led to three small fires at about 9:18 p.m. on Saturday, according to Havasunews.com, a regional news outlet.
Winds soon forced the small fires to spread to 150 acres of land located on the California side of the Colorado River in San Bernardino County.
The wildfire also threatened California’s Bermuda Palms neighborhood. The blaze was stopped before it could damage a building.
As the weekend continued, firefighters battled the wildfire. By Sunday night, it was about 20% contained.

It features a 30,000-square-foot gaming floor with over 450 slot machines and eight gaming tables. A 200-room hotel is located at the complex. There also are four restaurants, two bars, and an entertainment room.
