Carl Dean East, 86, of Bryantown, MD, passed away on August 1, 2024. On October 16, 1937, Carl was born to John and Lilly East in West Virginia.
In 1956, he met his future wife, June in Washington, DC. They were married in March of 1957 and were blessed with two daughters, Susan East of Hughesville, MD, and Miranda Potter (Stephen) who predeceased her father.
During his free time, he found joy in activities such as fishing, hunting, playing cards, and traveling. He had a passion for music, playing both the guitar and piano.
Carl was predeceased by his parents, beloved wife, daughter, and sister Patricia Rosinski. He is survived by his daughter, brothers Ernest East (Dottie) of Port Orange, FL, William East (Patricia) of Spanishburg, WV, and Norman East (Donna) of Lashmeet, WV. He is also survived by grandchildren Steven Moran (Jessica), Allison Honeycutt (Thomas), William Fisher, Erica Browning, and Mellisa Potter, as well as great-grandchildren, Caleigh Moran, Steven Moran, Jr., Jackson Moran, Brooke Honeycutt, Selah Honeycutt, Gunner Honeycutt and Colt Honeycutt.
On Thursday, August 8, 2024, the family will receive friends for the visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the service beginning at 11:00 am at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will follow after the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
