Breakaway Music Festival is coming home. The festival brand that was born in Columbus 13 years ago has announced its 2026 Ohio lineup, and the bill reflects both the event’s deep roots in the city and its evolution into one of the most ambitious independent festival operations in the country. Set for May 29–30 at Historic Crew Stadium Festival Grounds, Breakaway Ohio 2026 will be headlined by Kygo, GRiZ, REZZ, and Disco Lines.
The significance of the Columbus edition cannot be overstated for Breakaway. Columbus is where the brand began, and it remains central to its identity even as the operation has expanded to 14 cities nationwide. That history lends the Ohio edition a homecoming quality that sets it apart from the festival’s other stops, and the 2026 lineup suggests the organizers are treating it accordingly.
Kygo’s headlining slot positions the Norwegian melodic house force as the emotional anchor of the weekend. GRiZ brings an entirely different proposition for the bass set. REZZ occupies a singular space all her own in EDM; dark, hypnotic, mid-tempo bass productions that exist in a category largely of her own creation. And Disco Lines rounds out the top billing with the house and pop grooves.
The supporting lineup is deep and notably diverse featuring Lilly Palmer, the German techno force, and Mersiv, the Colorado-based dubstep producer who’s god tier edit of Deftones “Change” is an all time ID. YDG contributes his brand of hard-hitting bass house, while HAYLA, known for her vocal contributions to some of dance music’s biggest tracks, will showcase her own artistry. Other acts include, Daniel Allan, DEVAULT, D.O.D, Gravagerz, and JSTJR.
Dennett, Fallon, GUDFELLA, jigitz, me n ü, Mojave Grey, and Vandelux each contribute their own distinct perspectives to what amounts to one of the more eclectic undercards in recent Breakaway history. The festival’s dedication to local talent is also on display, with Ohio artists 2ŁØT, Stoney, Tano, and VryBad earning spots on the bill. It’s a tradition that has become a hallmark of the Breakaway brand across all its markets.
GA, VIP, and Space Deck Table packages are available through the official Breakaway website. The event is 18 and over, and CELSIUS returns as the presenting sponsor for 2026.
For a festival brand that has grown from a single Columbus event into a 14-city national tour, the Ohio edition remains the spiritual home base and the 2026 lineup makes clear that Breakaway has no intention of taking that legacy for granted.
