SOLOMONS, Md. – Ahoy there, festival fans! The 23rd Annual Calvert County Watermen’s Festival and Boat Docking Competition is sailing back into town, promising waves of excitement and a splash of fun. Anchors aweigh, as the event kicks off at noon at Watermen’s Wharf, right at the tip of Solomons Island.
It’s the perfect opportunity to cheer on those competing captains as they navigate the thrilling Boat Docking Contest. With cash, prizes, and trophies up for grabs, the stakes are as high as the tide!
Not to worry if you’re landlocked – there’s plenty of entertainment ashore, including beer, food, and sponsor exhibits. And let’s not forget the live music that’ll have you dancing like a sailor on shore leave.
But wait, there’s more! The kids can get in on the action with the Buoy Toss Contest for the tiny tikes, while the older ones can show their strength in the Small and Large Anchor Toss events.
Just remember, seating is as limited as a lifeboat, so be sure to arrive early and secure your spot for a day filled with maritime merriment.
