Bette Louise “Betty” Stone, 78 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 15, 2024 with her loving family at her side.
She was born on July 1, 1946 in Baltimore, MD to the late Thomas Grover Stone, Jr and Alma Lorraine Chatel.
On October 20, 1986, Betty married her beloved husband, Lance Richard Ramoth in Jacksonville, MD. Together they celebrated over 37 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on September 26, 2019. She spent her entire career in the financial industry bookkeeping for automotive dealerships.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her brothers, whom she was very close with.
Betty is survived by her sons, Derek Scott Ziegenbein and Mark Alan Ziegenbein, both of Jacksonville, FL; her brothers, Thomas Grover Stone, III (Margie) of Lillian, AL and William Allan Stone, Sr. of Charlotte Hall, MD; her nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty is also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lewis Stone.
A Graveside Service will be celebrated by Reverend Joe Orlando on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 11:15 a.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Robert S. Crane Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623.
