Table of Contents

UPDATE: Jul. 10, 2024, 3:00 p.m. EDT This story has been refreshed with the latest early Prime Day deals.

Deal hunters, gather round: Amazon Prime Day is officially back for its tenth year.

While the retail giant’s flagship summer sale doesn’t officially start until next week, it’s been releasing early Prime Deal deals ever since it announced the event’s dates in late June. (Much like Black Friday, Prime Day is less of a one-off and more like an ongoing season.) We expect many discounts to bide their time until the sale formally starts, but there are still plenty of good buys to be had already.

This is where we’ll be keeping track of all the best deals we see during Prime Day 2024, so be sure to bookmark or check this page regularly if you don’t want to comb through thousands of listings yourself. Here’s the lowdown.

When is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day 2024 will officially run from Tuesday, July 16 through Wednesday, July 17. The shopping event typically happens in mid-July, so this year is right on par with years past. (For reference, Prime Day 2022 was held on July 12 and 13, while Prime Day 2023 ran from July 11 through 12.)

What to expect for Prime Day 2024

Anyone who’s shopped a Prime Day sale before already knows the drill: It will be two days of sitewide doorbusters, with Amazon’s own devices and services getting the steepest price drops.

In a repeat from Prime Day 2023, Amazon has also revived its invite-only deals program, giving select shoppers a chance to grab extra-exclusive doorbusters that are likely to sell out. Prime members can visit these products’ listings to request an invitation; if chosen, you’ll receive an email with a unique link to buy the item at some point during the sale. (Amazon doesn’t specify how it picks these lucky eligible shoppers; all we know is that they’re exclusive to Prime members.) Check out Mashable’s invite-only deals guide if you’re interested in participating.

The best early Prime Day 2024 deals

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s get to the deals. As mentioned up top, Amazon will likely reserve some of its biggest Prime Day price drops for the sale’s official 48-hour window. However, it’s releasing a bunch of offers ahead of time for those who are eager to shop already.

While many of these prices are record-lows that won’t dip any further than they already have, some will inevitably get cheaper once Prime Day begins. It’s annoying, but it’s not the end of the world: While Amazon doesn’t do price adjustments, most items delivered to a U.S. address are covered by its free 30-day return policy. (Gift cards and downloadable software are some exceptions.) You can always send something back and re-buy it at a better price.

Read on for our ongoing list of the best Prime Day deals that are up for grabs ahead of time. Note: All newly added deals are marked with a , while deals with a 🔥 have dropped to an all-time low price. Amazon’s exclusive invite-only deals are marked with a 📨.

Early Prime Day Apple deals

Why we like it

Read Mashable’s review of the Apple AirPods Max.

“To be blunt, we don’t consider the AirPods Max one of the best headphones out there anymore. They’re missing key features, like a power button and a 3.5mm audio jack. But discounted to $398, they’ve finally been brought down to the realm of reasonable pricing. Previously, these headphones lowest price ever was $429, and more often down to $449. In short, we imagine this $151 discount will be one of, if not the best, we see throughout these headphones’ lifespan, especially considering the rumor that Apple will announce new and improved AirPods Maxes later this year.

We also want to give an honorable mention to the AirPods Pro, which are also $80 off and down to a new low price of $169.” — Bethany Allard, Lead Shopping Reporter

Early Prime Day Echo deals

Why we like it

“The all-new Echo Spot is a smart alarm clock with a built-in speaker and a customizable digital face, which shows colorful animations in response to different prompts and questions. (It looks a lot like an upgraded Echo Pop.) You can control it with Alexa voice commands or by tapping its display.

Available in black, glacier white, and ocean blue, the Spot is now on sale for just $44.99 (normally $79.99) for Prime members through July 17 ‘in celebration of Prime Day,’ per an Amazon blog post — a 44% savings. You’ve also got the option of bundling it with a Sengled smart bulb worth $19.99 for just under $2 more.” — Haley Henschel, Senior Shopping Reporter

Early Prime Day TV deals

Why we like it

“TCL’s Q6 TV is one of the most impressive cheap QLED TVs out there right now, so the opportunity to score the big 65-inch version for under $400 (taking the cake for the cheapest it’s ever been at Amazon) is seriously sweet for anyone looking to ditch their old, muted LED TV. For the price, the Q6 gets bright enough to make HDR worthwhile, complemented by the noticeable boosted color accuracy from the layer of quantum dots.” — Leah Stodart, Senior Shopping Reporter

Why we like it

“Among our ranking of tablets, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is the best Android option, and ahead of Prime Day, it’s down to its lowest price ever of $649.99, saving you $150 for 19% off. It rivals the iPad and is the perfect antidote for those who want the perks of an advanced tablet but don’t want to jump into the iOS ecosystem.

It has an 11-inch display, vibrant graphics, and an included S pen, so you can draw and take notes. It’s loaded with the powerful processing speeds of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Plus, it’s ready for your summer adventure with its IP68 rating, making it one of the few water- and dust-resistant tablets. Take that, Apple.” — Samantha Mangino, Shopping Reporter

Early Prime Day unlocked phone deals

Why we like it

“On sale for an all-time low $649.99 (normally $999.99), last year’s Motorola razr+ is a budget-friendly alternative to other foldable flip phones like the Google Pixel Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. Our friends at PCMag (which is owned by Mashable’s publisher, Ziff Davis) reviewed the razr+ with an ‘Excellent’ rating, crediting its larger 3.6-inch outer screen and striking 6.9-inch internal display. While it comes in several different colors, only the black and blue variants are down to a record-low at Amazon.” — Christina Buff, Mashable Contributor

Why we like them

“The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are down to their lowest price ever, according to the price tracker camelcamelcamel. Though these earbuds were released in 2022, they remain an Editor’s Choice award-winner at our sister site PCMag (also owned by Ziff Davis) thanks to their ‘astoundingly effective noise cancellation’ and sound signature that’s great for “anyone who likes rich bass and bright highs.” At $169.95, these earbuds are much more affordable than newer premium models while offering you a similar product, minus extras like turning the ANC off or wireless charging for the case.” — Bethany Allard, Lead Shopping Reporter

Why we like it

“Launched last summer, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 6 was dubbed the ‘king of the Android smartwatch mountain’ by Mashable tech reporter Alex Perry. The sixth iteration saw a suite of added sleep and fitness features, including a nuanced breakdown of sleep habits, sleep coaching, personalized heart rate zones, and irregular heart rate notifications. Plus, it lasts longer on a single charge and features a 20 percent larger display than previous models.

The 40mm version with Bluetooth dropped down to a record-low $196.95 at Amazon last week, but already jumped up to $209.99. That’s still an awesome deal with $90 off the MSRP, but we’re really keeping an eye on it as Prime Day gets closer. We’re expecting an even better deal on the big day.” — Chritsina Buff, Mashable Contributor

Early Prime Day robot vacuum deals

Why we like it

“Eufy’s X9 Pro debuted in fall 2023 and sits right in the sweet spot between the X8 Pro (which doesn’t mop) and the X10 Pro Omni (which is sitting at its MSRP of $799.99). And it’s already seen several groundbreaking price cuts just in June: its current discount code X9PROEUFY bumps the discount to a full 50% off, beating the discount seen in mid-June that was exclusive to Prime members.

The X9 Pro is more reminiscent of its successor than its predecessor: It has a flat edge to get into corners, it mops, washes, and dries its own mopping pads, and uses AI to detect and avoid small obstacles like phone cables. As a mopper, the X9 Pro provides more elbow grease than many competitors thanks to double-pressurized, rotating mopping heads. These automatically lift above the ground if carpet is detected.” — Leah Stodart, Senior Shopping Reporter
