Amarjit Suri was born on March 17th, 1948 in Lahore and passed away surrounded by her family on October 11th, 2024 in Maryland. She was one of seven children and the daughter of Partap Singh Sahni and Puran Kaur. She was the last living child.
The family moved from Lahore to Jalandhar in 1947. Thereafter, she married her late husband Tejpal Singh Suri on November 17th, 1968. She was blessed with two daughters, one son, and seven grandchildren.
While residing in India, she was a house wife. Once she moved to New York on March 30th, 1997 she transitioned into working as a sales associate in Burger King. Her husband expired on July 22nd, 2007. She moved to Maryland with her son in March of 2006.
She was a hardworking, devoted, caring and loving woman. She survived lung cancer that metastasized to her brain, and continued to fight for her good health. Despite her illness, she made it an importance to always strive for perfection, especially cleanliness. From her head to her toes, she was impeccably stylish, maintaining a fashionable and polished appearance. Even during her toughest days, she had a special focus on her toenails, ensuring they were clean, perfectly polished, never compromising her self-care. She was proud of her beautiful feet and toes. Now she leaves us with her beautiful memories, and has left behind wonderful children and grandchildren to further carry along her loving legacy.
