A second HMD device leaks with Lumia-like looks, lower price than the Skyline

The HMD Skyline is supposed to launch this month – leaks have shown that this phone has a design that is reminiscent of the Lumia aesthetic. It will be one of 5 (or more) new Android phones from HMD including the HMD Pulse trio (which is already official) and the rumored HMD Atlas.

Other models include HMD Ridge and Waylay (budget 5G phones) to go with the Xenon and Skyline (mid-range to high 5G models). We’ve seen images of the Skyline before and they show a punch hole selfie camera.

Now @smashx_60 has shared images of another Lumia-like device, however, this one is different – it has a notched camera. And if you look closely, the back says “50MP OIS Camera” (the Skyline is supposed to have a 108MP main module).

This should be powered by the Unisoc T760 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB storage. The front has a flat 6.67” OLED panel (FHD+, 120Hz), while the back features the aforementioned 50MP OIS camera, an 8MP ultra wide and a 2MP helper. The phone will run on a 4,900mAh battery with 33W charging.

This device, whatever its code name, will be in the €300 price range, while the Skyline is in the €400 segment (€460 for the retail version). The Skyline also has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset to justify the extra price.

HMD is working on an even cheaper device with a 6.56” IPS LCD (FHD+, 90Hz), Unisoc T606 chipset, 50+2MP rear and 50MP front cameras and a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging. This one will be in the €200 price range (with 6/128GB and 8/256GB memory options).

Also, at least several of the new devices will have official repair kits from iFixit for easy repairability.
