St. Inigoes Home Destroyed By Fire Remains Under Investigation, $525K In Damages


ST. INIGOES, Md. — A two-story home in St. Inigoes, Maryland, was completely destroyed by fire early Monday morning. The blaze, which occurred at 47758 Sunset Manor Lane, was reported at approximately 5:30 a.m. on September 9, 2024.

According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the fire caused an estimated $500,000 in structural damage and $25,000 in content loss. The Ridge Volunteer Fire Department led the response, with a total of 45 firefighters from surrounding departments assisting in the effort.

The fire was brought under control within 45 minutes. An officer from a nearby military base initially discovered the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal’s Southern Regional Office at 410-414-3614.
