SMCM Volleyball Begins Season With A Split Vs. Regent & Randolph

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland Volleyball team (1-1) traveled to Virginia Beach, Virginia for a tri-match featuring Regent (0-2) and Randolph (2-0). The Seahawks defeated the Royal’s in four sets in the first game, but lost to the Wildcats in four sets in the second. 

St. Mary’s – 3 Regent – 1

How it Happened

  • St. Mary’s took the opening set by a final score of 25-16.
  • The Seahawks kept the momentum going with a thrilling 27-25 second set win.
  • Regent hung around and took the third set, 25-19.
  • St. Mary’s came back to win the fourth set 25-21 to claim the match victory.

St. Mary’s – 1 Randolph – 3

How it Happened

  • St. Mary’s started the second game on the right foot by claiming a 25-19 victory in set one.
  • Randolph responded by winning the second and third sets, both by a score of 25-13.
  • The Wildcats ended up claiming the match in a thrilling fourth set, winning 25-23.
