What To Do In Calvert County This Weekend

CALVERT COUNTY, Md. – There are a plethora of exciting and educational events happening in Calvert this weekend. From the kiddies to the adults, there’s something for everyone.

Appropriate for all ages, Sharkfest is happening at the Calvert Marine Museum from 10 AM- 5:00 PM on July 13. Celebrate sharks at Calvert Marine Museum! Live sharks will be featured in the Corbin Pavilion for viewing. Learn fascinating ‘sharktoids’, examine evidence of prehistoric sharks, make a shark-themed craft, and younger visitors can search for fossils outside.

Food, drinks and face painting will be available for purchase on site. Strollers and carts are not allowed in the museum for SHARKFEST. Advanced ticketing recommended as capacity is limited!

Museum admission applies; CMM members are FREE. Complimentary museum passes will not be honored. 

For children aged 5-12, this event is a drop-off occasion on July 12 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Teams will engage in friendly competition using the Imaginarium’s play structures, with both team games and individual challenges. Imaginarium will provide pizza and juice for each child. You can also purchase a snack pack to give your child some additional treats during their visit. 

Adults have some fun this weekend as well! Mully’s Brewery is happy to welcome back Viking Axe Throwing to the taproom! Come out and see how many bullseyes you can hit, or cheer on the other warriors with a pint in your hand! Event is every month on the second Saturday from April to August from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. 

**THIS EVENT IS WEATHER-DEPENDENT** In the case of inclement weather, it will not occur.
