As explained by Google:

“We’ve uncovered the most sought-after gifts of the year across categories like apparel, accessories, home & garden, electronics, toys & games, beauty and health & wellness. You can also browse curated collections — like the Retro-coded” collection, which features modern spins on Y2K classics, or our assortment of effortlessly elegant items from the Laidback Luxury” collection.

Yes, retro, with famously “retro” celebrity Romeo Beckham, who fully listens to records and has ugly rugs in his house.

Beckham is just one of the celebrities who’s playing a part in this year’s Google product listing, with a several other stars also helping to highlight specific trends and collections.

But the main focus, of course, is the products themselves, and what people have been searching for on Google throughout the year. The listing represents rising search interest across each product category, which is great for both buying activity and market research.

As you can see in this example, each listing not only includes a display of products, but there are also trend notes highlighting key shifts. Which could be relevant for your own product marketing, in understanding what the latest trends and trending products are in your niche.

Though I do find some of the items… interesting:
