Sue Fitzgerald, 83, of Hughesville, MD passed away on October 1, 2024, at her home. Born on July 24, 1941, in Shinnston, West Virginia to the late Deward Bronson McCombs and Virginia Phillips McCombs.
Sue is survived by her lifelong partner, Emmett J. Bladen, Sr. of Hughesville, MD, Also survived by her children Robert Fitzgerald JR, Steven Fitzgerald SR, and David Fitzgerald SR, Daughters, Patricia Fitzgerald of Hollywood MD, Vickie Figert of Hughesville, MD, and Pamela J. Stojka of Florida, and stepsons Emmett J Bladen JR and Michael Bladen also survived by brothers; James F. McCombs and David Harris of West Virginia also her son in law Robert Figert and Daughter in law Christa Fitzgerald and Vicky Bladen son in law Kurt Lohman as well as 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert McCombs and Jack Harris.
Sue enjoyed cooking, baking, and paint by numbers.
A celebration of life is October 7, 2024, at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with services beginning at 11:00 with Pastor John Stojka. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601.
