Prince George’s County, MD – Four new board members have been appointed by the Prince George’s County Wage Determination Board. Three new members are also joining other Prince George’s County commissions, including the Police Accountability Board and the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

- Daniel Armando Jones – Police Accountability Board
The purpose of the Wage Determination Board is to adopt, repeal, and change hourly rates for workmen and apprentices. The official mission statement on their webpage says, “The mission of the Wage Determination Board is to adopt, establish, repeal, modify, change or amend schedules of prevailing hourly rates of wages to be paid to workmen and apprentices employed on certain public works.”
Important for the well-being of the Prince George’s County environment, the Solid Waste Advisory Committee was created to give community guidance to the Prince George’s County Council and County Executive on local matters of solid waste. Members meet to discuss recommendations for the collection and disposal of waste, as well as review recommendations for the Ten Year Solid Waste Plan. The Solid Waste Advisory Committee’s work helps keep Calvert County’s environment clean.

We reached out to the Police Accountability Board for comment about their new member, to which Program Administrator Ebony Rorls responded, “The Office of Integrity, Compliance, and Police Accountability congratulates Mr. Daniel Jones as the newest and returning member of the Prince George’s County Police Accountability Board (PAB)!”
They continued, “His experience and passion as an advocate for communities of color will play an essential role in fostering transparency, building trust, and ensuring our community’s safety and well-being during interactions with our local law enforcement agencies.
