Are there any essential biological differences between white people and those of African ancestry?

The idea that there are only superficial and outwardly visible differences between different ethnicities is an old and exploded hypothesis. In reality, there are any number of physiological differences between groups and trying to ignore these is pointless and can be dangerous.
