HYATTSVILLE, Md. – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday morning in the unincorporated section of Hyattsville. The victim is 43-year-old David Johnson of Hyattsville. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On August 3, 2024, at approximately 12:30 am, officers responded to the 5800 block of Timber Creek Terrace for a shooting. Once on scene, they located the victim in an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
