Aside from working as the Mashable Shopping Editor, I’m also a professional dog trainer, a pet product reviewer, a dog show and kennel assistant, and a dog sport exhibitor. It’s safe to say that I spend a lot of time with dogs, so I know what gear is and isn’t worth pet owners’ money.
My two dogs, a Border Collie Mix named Miso and a Rough Collie named Dashi, are also discerning product testers. They regularly help me test and review everything from collars and leashes to beds, dog crates, and treats.
From enrichment toys to supplements, these are the best Prime Day pet deals of 2024 — many of which I’ve already purchased for my two pups.
I’m not joking when I say that the Full Moon Chicken Jerky treats are my favorite high-value reward. I use them in the AKC dog show ring to hype up my Collie, during agility practice after a good run, and even with client dogs who are working on ignoring triggers like bikes and other dogs. They have simple ingredients, come in a huge 1.5-pound bag, and are almost always over 50% off during Prime Day and Black Friday, bringing them down to just $15. I usually buy a few bags to hold me over until the next shopping event. This year, I bought three bags of the chicken flavor and one pound of the beef flavor.
Listen, we all love our dogs, but sometimes you just need your dogs to sit down and shut up for a while you take a work call. That’s when I use bully sticks — it’s basically the dog equivalent of putting an iPad in front of a little kid for an hour. My dogs love bully sticks, and I pair them with a bully stick holder for safety when I’m not supervising them 100%. Bully sticks are expensive though, so I usually save my chew purchases for Prime Day, then buy in bulk. This Pawstruck deal will save you a little under $14 — not bad.

You’d buy poop bags even if they weren’t on sale, so you might as well pick up some at a discount during Prime Day. These Earth Rated bags are extra fancy, and lightly scented with lavender to make the poop-scooping experience a little less terrible. I like using these particular bags on hikes: If my dog poops and I need to tie a bag to my hiking backpack for the rest of the hike, I’ll be met with a light hint of lavender instead of a wafting poop smell. This Prime Day deal will get you a little over $5 off.
